MELANIE BOOK

A farewell to a positive influence in my life.
This was a parting gift for one of my most influential professors, Melanie Mowinski, professor of art and design at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. She always encouraged my practice, reminding me that “you can do whatever you want”.

The cover is made from cardboard, put together using a simple binding technique with pink thread. The pages were sourced from paper scraps, most found in her classroom, B303. I included plenty of stamps and prints, and made sure to keep her favorite color in mind.
